Our Story of Nursing & Rehabilitation Care

Faith In Heritage

In 1945, the need for a quality Long Term & Rehabilitation Care facility in Western Oklahoma was growing. Through faith based roots in Corn, OK – Corn Heritage Village was established to meet the needs of the communities in which Western Oklahoma families had grown their lives.

The Corn Mennonite Brethren Church established Corn Heritage Village in 1945 as a non-profit, faith based, Long Term Care & Rehabilitation Care community in order to provide the goal of having quality care for the families in Western Oklahoma.

The heritage based in Corn Heritage Village is one of treating our residents and their families the way we treat our own families, because we all live in the same communities and deeply care about the quality we achieve.

Growth Through Support

Corn Heritage Village has grown a lot over the past few years. From adding a location in Weatherford Oklahoma to provide Long Term Care, Skilled Nursing, & Rehabilitation Care, to adding a memory care unit and Rehabilitation Center.

The original facilities in 1945 contained fourteen rooms and kitchen facilities. It was heated by fuel oil furnace and steam and there was no air conditioning.

1960 – CHV added its first addition, including 13 rooms, 23 beds, a devotional room, a new kitchen, nurses’ station, and enlarged dining room space complete with central HVAC.

1968 – Another addition was built which included 26 additional beds with a new chapel and nurses’ station. An elevator was added into the original three story facility.

1987 – A completely new Corn Heritage Village facility was built which included 104 beds, 26 private rooms, and 39 semi-private rooms. There were eight two-bedroom apartments.
